Started by Chris Girardi in 2020, the Blunt Quills is a writing group that gives life to writers and has changed the lives of its members.
The members of The Blunt Quills, live the writing life. Meeting once a week, while they develop their skills and hone their art.
The Blunt Quills invite you to explore these pages and to be inspired to pick up your pen and light the page on fire.

Chris is an aspiring writer whose passions are historical fiction and fantasy. Writing stories has been a pastime of his since he was little, and he is currently working on a historical fiction novel about Ancient Rome. He currently resides in southern California and freelances as a content creator and copywriter.

Ashley Dantzler loves to write and create. Writing is what gives her joy. She lives in Nebraska where she attends and serves at a local church as both a member and a Network Administrator. She is currently working on a writing project that supports those living with mental illnesses.

Katie has 20 years of technical writing experience, which includes topics from RFID engineering to architecture to making wastewater plant expansions sexy. Like many people during COVID, she decided it was time to make the switch and pursue fiction-writing full-time. She has working drafts of crime, high-fantasy, and horror. She is a reader of all genres and alternates between fiction and non-fiction books.
Katie has a BA in Journalism from Texas A&M University in College Station, and in 2020, as she prepared to make the leap to writing fiction, she completed online creative fiction courses. She lives outside of Dallas, Texas, with her husband and three dogs.

Sally Simon (ze/hir) is a retired teacher who lives in the Catskills of New York State. Over twenty years ago, ze received hir MAF in Writing from Manhattanville College. During the pandemic, ze decided to put it to good use. Hir fiction has made it to the semi-finals of NYCMidnight contests, and hir one-acts plays have been performed by community theaters. Hir writing has appeared in Hobart, Truffles Literary Magazine, After the Pause, and elsewhere. When not writing, ze’s either traveling the world or stabbing people with hir epee. Charles Low is a Singapore-born Chinese guy with an obsessive liking for short stories. Speaking of short, he comically struggles with short… hair.  A copywriter by day, he dreams about a life outside recurring expenses and bad romances. At night, he imagines how to kill… boredom, and practices a faux mid-Atlantic english accent that impresses nobody on conference calls. His ghostwritten op-eds have appeared across Singapore dailies and business publications. Now he wants to be write of his own stories.

Nina Miller is an Indian-American physician, epee fencer, and a micro/flash fiction writer, in no particular order and sometimes at the same time. She has a strange addiction to writing competitions and properly made tea. She is currently working on a her first novel with the support of the Blunt Quills.
